Álora is a typical whitewashed Spanish town nestling below the ‘Castillo de las Torres’ (Moorish castle), in beautiful rural Andalusia.

The town has a wonderful history with plenty of interesting buildings and monuments to visit.

It also hosts numerous cultural, sporting and religious events and festivals throughout the year: including Álora Festival (February), ‘Semana Santa’ (Easter Holy week), the Flamenco Song Festival (July) and Álora Feria (August), where you can experience traditional cuisine, music and Flamenco dancing.

You will find a good selection of bars, cafes and restaurants in Álora where you can experience the local cuisine. Álora also has a good selection of shops, supermarkets, pharmacies, fitness centre, swimming pool, tourist information office, banks and Post Office.
